BOUNDARIES REDEFINED
- APARTMENT
This project tells the story of two neighboring apartments transformed into a single harmonious home.
The clients, already living in one flat, purchased the apartment next door with the vision of creating a more spacious master suite and a practical living space for their son. By opening a connection through the wall, we designed a generous bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, while the rest of the new apartment was reimagined as a modest but comfortable independent unit. The biggest design challenge was a large immovable shaft between the bedroom and bathroom.
However, by reconfiguring the layout and relocating the kitchen to the opposite side of the apartment, we achieved an airy, efficient plan with a comfortable bedroom and a practical, well-sized bathroom.
