PURE MAGIC -
HOUSE

This is a partial 74 m2 project of the entire house which included the main living area, open plan kitchen, bathroom and corridor.

Old wooden house needed to be turned into something that brings smiles and joy to its owners. The only thing that would stay in as it is are wooden beams that actually become a very important detail to tie the whole design together. Idea was to give this space more light and create an overall natural feel. House itself is surrounded by dense forest so a light colour interior as well as actual light is crucial as ever. We wanted to connect the house's natural surroundings with the inside of the house without making it too “cabin in the woods”.

In order to do just that we kept the focus on the light aspect of it all and borrowed elements from mid century modern as well as coastal and Scandinavian interiors. This healthy mix really came together in a way that keeps those important natural aspects together with a calming presence in the house as a whole. It helped to introduce this aura of serenity without making space visually boring.
